Tour Itinerary
Arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport & you will be transferred to Puri on the way visiting Dhauli Peace Pagoda,
Ashokan Rock Edicts & Pipili Applique Market. Evening free on the Golden Beach (Asia's first Blue Flag Certified
Beaches).
Overnight Stay at Puri
Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, known as the Temple City of India, is home to over 700 temples
showcasing exquisite Kalinga architecture. Iconic sites include Lingaraj, Mukteswar, and Rajarani Temples. The
city blends ancient heritage with modern development, offering spiritual depth, historical richness, and vibrant
culture, making it a key destination in Odisha. The city blending ancient heritage with modernity. It features
iconic temples, historical caves, vibrant markets, and serves as a cultural and educational hub.
Dhauli is a significant historical and spiritual site. It marks the place where the Kalinga War ended and Emperor
Ashoka embraced Buddhism. The Dhauli Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa), built with Japanese collaboration, symbolizes peace and non-violence, offering serene surroundings and panoramic views of the Daya River plains.
Pipili is a vibrant town in Odisha, renowned for its traditional appliqu work known as Chandua. Situated
approximately 20 km from Bhubaneswar and 36 km from Puri, it's a popular stop for tourists traveling along the
Bhubaneswar-Puri-Konark route. The town's artisans craft colorful items like umbrellas, wall hangings, and
bags, often featuring motifs of flowers, animals, and deities. Historically, Pipili's appliqu work has adorned the
chariots during the annual Rath Yatra festival in Puri. Recognized with a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, Pipili's
craft is integral to Odisha's cultural heritage.
Early Morning Darshan at Jagannath Temple (Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple). Then excursion
trip to visit Artisans village Raghurajpur (UNESCO World Heritage Craft Village), Ramachandi Temple,
Chandrabhaga beach & Word Heritage Konark Sun Temple (UNESCO World Heritage site). If time permits visit
Sand Art Museum on return back to Puri.
Overnight Stay at Puri
Puri, a sacred coastal city in Odisha, is famous for the Jagannath Temple, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage
sites. It attracts millions during the annual Rath Yatra. Puri also offers golden beaches, vibrant markets, and
spiritual ambiance, blending religious significance with natural beauty, making it a major tourist and pilgrimage
destination.
Raghurajpur, the renowned artisans' village near Puri, is famous for its exquisite Pattachitra paintings, palm
leaf engravings, stone carvings, and traditional crafts. Every household here is home to skilled artists preserving
Odisha's cultural heritage. The village also nurtures classical dance forms like Gotipua, offering visitors a vibrant
blend of art and tradition.
Konark, is renowned for the magnificent Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 13th century,
the temple is designed as a colossal chariot with intricately carved stone wheels and sculptures. Konark also
features a beautiful Chandrabhaga beach and hosts the annual Konark Dance Festival celebrating classical
Indian dance forms.
Golden Beach in Puri is a serene and clean stretch along the Bay of Bengal. It's ideal for relaxation, sunrise views, and cultural walks, and holds Blue Flag certification.
Morning after leisurely breakfast check-out from the hotel & drive to Bhubaneswar on the way visit Sakhigopal
Temple. Visit Lingarj Temple (Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple), Khandagiri & Udaigir Jain Rock
Cut Caves. Then departure transfer to Airport to board the flight for onwards connections.
Sakhigopal Temple, is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha. It is famous for its life-sized deity of Krishna
holding a flute and the unique legend of divine witness. The temple attracts pilgrims year-round, especially
during festivals like Janmashtami and Anla Navami, celebrating devotion and tradition.
Lingaraj Temple, located in Bhubaneswar, is a stunning example of 11th-century Kalinga architecture and one
of the oldest and largest temples in Odisha. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it features a towering spire, intricate
carvings, and a sacred tank. The temple attracts thousands of devotees, especially during the Shivaratri
festival.
Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves, are ancient rock-cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BCE. Built during
King Kharavela's reign, they served as Jain monk dwellings. The caves feature intricate carvings, inscriptions,
and sculptures, reflecting early Jain art and architecture, making them significant historical and archaeological
sites.
